The meaning of “gyas” refers to progress and development, as well as the construction of fortresses and temples.
The meaning of “shay” (song) refers to offering songs as worship to deities and lamas.
In the song tradition, the leaders and chieftains of the past had a custom of dressing in special costumes and performing on important occasions such as when lamas ascended golden thrones, when kings assumed their thrones, and during special festivals.
